Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how The Magma Chamber uses cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage) and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What we mean by “cookies”

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use related browser storage such as localStorage for preferences and local drafts. Under EU ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies generally require consent. Analytics and advertising are off until you opt in. Necessary-only is offered with the same one-click ease as accept-all.

2. Necessary storage

These are used to provide core features you request:

• Authentication cookies / tokens — when Magma Chamber Supabase login is configured, session cookies keep you signed in.
• Consent preference — remembers whether you allowed analytics and/or advertising (magma-chamber-consent-v2).
• Local drafts — cubes and 2v2 pairs stored in your browser until you sync them to an account.

Necessary storage does not require analytics or advertising consent, but you can clear it anytime via your browser settings (that will also remove local drafts and your stored choice).

3. Optional analytics

If you choose Analytics, we enable Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel describes this product as cookieless (it does not set a traditional analytics cookie) and uses privacy-oriented processing. Because it still measures site usage, we only enable it after your opt-in.

If you leave analytics off, those scripts are not loaded and no analytics events are sent.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

If you choose Advertising, we load Google AdSense on content pages (articles, tournaments, videos, featured/public decks, and the homepage). Google may then set cookies or use similar identifiers to serve, measure, and personalize ads. Those cookies are controlled by Google. If you do not opt in, we do not load AdSense. We also tell Google (Consent Mode) that ad storage and personalization are denied until you accept. Login, legal, and unfinished tool pages do not load ads even after you opt in.

5. Manage your choice

You can change or withdraw analytics and advertising consent at any time. Refuse and accept are both one click:

You can also block or delete cookies/storage through your browser controls. Clearing site data resets your stored choice and local drafts.

6. Third parties

Login providers (Discord/Google) and destinations you click through to (Discord, Metafy, YouTube, Riot asset hosts) may set their own cookies under their policies. Video cards on this Site link out to YouTube; they do not auto-embed a YouTube player. We do not control third-party cookies on those other sites.

7. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will reflect revisions.
