Riftbound 2v2: the format Magma Chamber is built around

Two seats, one result

Riftbound 2v2 is paired Constructed: each team is two pilots, two legends, two lists, and one match result. You are not goldfishing a solo queue. You are sequencing with a partner, covering what their legend cannot, and living with the fact that a lost game is shared.

Magma Chamber exists because most coverage still treats 1v1 as the default and leaves 2v2, cube, sealed, and trios as house rules. We publish the opposite: lists, events, and tools for the formats that do not already have a hub.

Two shapes of the same format

Regional Qualifiers (Barcelona, Singapore) are official 2v2 Constructed weekends. Players often enroll alone and pair on site. Swiss is long, rounds are timed, and prizing can be a cut, a split, or both. The lists that survive those rooms are what we put on Featured decks.

How we store a pair

A public team on this site is two sides. Each side has a legend, a main deck, runes, battlefields, and a sideboard. We do not collapse that into one 80-card pile. If only one partner submitted a list, the other seat stays empty — that is honest, not a missing feature.

What we will not pretend

House rules still matter. Banlists, sideboard size, and whether you play best-of-one or best-of-three change what a “good” pair is. Confirm the event you are registering for. Magma Chamber is a fan hub, not the rules authority — that is also in the Disclaimer.
